Vacuum Casting (VC) is an efficient process for electrical casting of insulating components. The process involves filling or casting the mix of epoxy resin system comprising of filler and additives under gravity into steel molds under vacuum. Resin and hardeners are stored in separate tanks and are prefilled with selective fillers under vacuum to degas and avoid bubble formation. The components manufactured from the process are free of voids and defects.
Epotec offers several resin systems for VC process including thermal Class F, Class H and toughened systems for indoor and outdoor applications, suitable for medium and high voltage applications. The products enable superior low temperature crack resistance, outstanding mechanical and electrical insulation properties.
