Automatic Pressure Gelation (APG) is extensively used casting process for mass production of electrical insulating components. The process involves direct injection of casting mix comprising of epoxy resin system premixed with fillers and additives into a split mold which is v-mounted on a clamping machine. The components after curing in mold are de-molded and post cured in separate oven which compensates chemical shrinkage.

Epotec offers several resin systems for APG process including thermal Class F, Class H and toughened systems for indoor and outdoor applications, suitable for medium and high voltage applications. The products enable superior low temperature crack resistance, outstanding mechanical and electrical insulation properties. The non-post cure resin system for APG process is a unique offering for the industry that enables defect reduction, productivity improvement and energy conservation.
